Annual reports of the Hospital Department of the School relate activities and accomplishments in both narrative and statistical form. Written by Paul A. Wiebe, Hosptial Supervisor, the reports contain letters to Superintendent Weakley from Dr. J.N. Killough, attending physician, Dr. H.H. Bryans, attending dental surgeon, and Mr. Weibe himself; a statement of the monetary value of services donated; discussions of the annual dental contest for cleanliness; descriptions of Christmas celebrations; a list of physicans and dentists who donate their services; a description of various examinations, innoculations (including rabies for pet dogs), and treatments given; a discussion of epidemics and accidents which occurred; descriptions of new equipment installed or needed; lists of supplies donated and of donors; and sketches of the work of the dental clinic. Statistics detail the number of special operations, contagious or infectious diseases, dental clinic activities, hospital activities, surgical operations, and medical cases. Included are photographs of physicians and officials, wards and clinics, exhibits, patients before and after their conditions were surgically corrected, enlarged tonsils, the band and military, winners of the dental contest, and buildings.
